Back or neck problems will affect virtually everyone at some point during their life. Low back pain ranks among the highest reasons for physician office visits. Neck and back injuries can be challenging to manage if not properly evaluated and the correct interventions are not begun in a timely manner. 

The Spine department at St. Francis Rehabilitation is here to help. Our therapists specialize in the conservative treatment of spinal pathology of the neck and low back. Our therapists are trained in a specific manual therapy technique that uses gentle, precise movements to help restore spinal motion.  Additionally, exercise instruction and body mechanics education complete the treatment and help return patients to their prior level of function.

Our spine department receives referrals for multiple diagnoses, such as:

• Herniated disc
• Degenerative disc disease
• Sciatica
• Muscle strains and joint sprains
• Numerous other disorders

The spine rehab department works closely with the St. Francis Spine Center physicians and the Interventional Pain Management physicians to best coordinate your care and optimize your recovery.
