Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories
St. Francis has four cardiac catheterization labs to accommodate both scheduled and emergency patients. We are able to perform both cardiac and peripheral procedures. Our labs are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Some of the procedures we perform in the catheterization labs are:
- Diagnostic Catheterization – Left & Right Heart
- Radial and Femoral Artery Approach
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) with on-site cardiac surgery back-up
- Balloon angioplasty for opening a narrowed area of a blood vessel
- Stent procedures to prevent or minimize the risk of future blockages
- Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS)
- Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR)
- Pacemaker Implantation
- Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD)
- MRI Compatible Pacemaker Implantation
- Reveal Loop Recorder Implantation
- Stent Placement
- Angioplasty
- Peripheral Stenting and Angiography
